- It is your responsibility to check that all the details relating to your order are correct and to provide us with all relevant information relating to the environment in which the Goods are intended to be used.

It is important that you check your measurements carefully. An order should always include an additional 10% to allow for wastage to cover cutting (15% for herringbone), minor imperfections and breakage. If you do not order enough, subsequent Goods (as goods can change from each batch) may not be exactly the same shading and sizing as the original Goods.

Due to the nature of Porcelain tiles and production methods used, all sizing is nominal and a degree of variation in dimensions should be expected. Whilst this is minimal, it can become more noticeable on larger format tiles. As Porcelain tiles are fired they can bow or warp slightly. To avoid emphasizing this warpage, larger tiles should not be ‘half-bonded’ and only staggered by a maximum of 20-30% of the length and/or using ‘levelling clips’.

We can provide estimates of quantities of Goods but this will be based on general guidelines and the measurements which you have supplied. It is your responsibility to provide accurate measurements to ensure that the correct quantities of Goods are ordered. You should therefore seek professional advice as variations in surfaces and angles may affect the quantities required. We will not be responsible for any shortfalls or surpluses.

All descriptions, images (in both print and on the internet) and samples of our Goods are for the purpose of giving an approximate representation of the Goods only.

Payment is required on placement of your order. Please note that we will not arrange delivery until we are in receipt of cleared funds.

The cost of delivery is in addition to the Price of the tiles and subject to VAT.

Delivery will be to the nearest accessible point, at the drivers discretion ; this may be the kerbside. Drivers of 3rd party couriers will not handle the goods. Any failed delivery attempts will be charged.

Special order tiles cannot be cancelled after 48 hours.

Any estimate of delivery is subject to availability of supply. Responsibility cannot be accepted for delays outside our control especially deliveries via 3rd party couriers.

Once unloaded the goods become the responsibility of the receiver. You must inspect the Goods on delivery or collection to ensure that they are the correct type, of satisfactory quality, undamaged and the correct amount and if they are not, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery or collection for correction, replacement or refund of all or part of the Price (at our option), which will be your sole remedy. If the goods are damaged or of unsatisfactory quality, we reserve the right to request documentary evidence, such as a photograph, in support of your statement. If you do not reject them within this time, or if you have installed them, you will be deemed to have accepted them and we will have no liability to you.

Clay Interiors are not liable for any damage caused to tiles by incorrect installation, improper use of adhesive, grout or sealing products. Even where materials are supplied by Clay Interiors, it is the responsibility of the tiler to ensure that the tiles are fixed to a suitable substrate, test patches for grout are carried out and any sealing required is done by a professional installer.

Natural Stone must be installed by a qualified and experienced tiler. Dry laying before fixing is essential as stone will always vary within a single batch. We advise a sample of the current batch is seen and confirmed prior to ordering.

Stock tiles (tiles stocked at our warehouse at Hall Farm, Weston) can be returned within 4 weeks of purchase in FULL BOXES with a 20% handling charge. Any items not stocked (such as Ca’ Pietra, Original Style, Silver Lion) cannot be returned.

No tiles are guaranteed against crazing.

Clay Interiors is happy to provide numbers for tilers but this is a recommendation only and we cannot be held accountable for them.

We are happy to store tiles for a maximum of 4 weeks providing full payment has been received. Clay Interiors cannot store tiles longer than the stipulated time due to lack of storage at the site address or build projects being delayed.
All goods remain the Property of Clay Interiors Ltd until full payment is received.
